We need to talk about Kevin

"We need to talk about Kevin" is a dramatic-thriller movie.

Directror: Lynne Ramsay
Writers: Lynne Ramsay,Rory Kinnear
Stars: Tilda Swinton,John C.Reilli,Ezra Miller

Plot:
The mother of a teenage boy who went on a high-school killing spree tries to deal with her grief - and feelings of responsibility for her child's actions.

Personal Review:
Another movie I've wanted to watch for a long time now(since November, when it was released actually). And the result was definitely worth it.I really liked it.I didn't think that it's a thriller movie, but definitely a dramatic one. When it starts you can't understand anything as it moves from the present to the past and the opposite. And I swear,if I ever give birth to a boy and he is like Kevin,I will be on the edge of killing him..If you watch then you'll understand what I'm talking about. And I do believe that Tilda Swinton should have gained the golden globe award for her role in this movie.

Cast:

Tilda Swinton-Eva

John C.Reilly-Franklin

The shining

"The shining" is a dramatic and horror movie.

Director: Stanley Kubrick
Writers: Stephen King(novel),Stanley Kubrick(screenplay)
Stars: Jack Nicholson,Shelley Duvall,Danny Lloyd

Plot:
A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future.

Personal Review:
By far one of the best horror movies ever, and I'm not the only one who says that so it's regarded as one of the top. It's really great and scary.I don't know if the thing that scared me was the awesomness of Nicholson or the child.I really can't describe the film.Don't expect to get too scared at first it's towards the end that things begin to look frightening. The music, the faces, the colours, the voices and the rugs makes you not want to stay in huge hotels.Of course, because I've read the book I must say that it was scarier something unique because usually the films are scaruer. But I must say that it's a nice adaptation.Whoever hasn't watched this film and thinks of himself as a horror-movie fan is not.But if you want to read the book first see the film or else you're going to be a little dissapointed.

Cast:

Jack Nicholson-Jack Torrance
Shelley Duvall-Wendy Torrance
Danny Lloyd-Danny Torrance

Alexander Payne

Plot:
A land baron tries to re-connect with his two daughters after his wife suffers a boating accident.

Personal Review:
What can I say??Amazing movie..I expected it to be good but it surprised me because even though it lasts for two hours it's so interesting that it doesn't let you get bored.Of course George Clooney was perfect for one more time, even though he looked a little bit older and I was a little shocked about that. The biggest surprise was Shailen Woodley who was the star of "The secret life of the American teenager" and I really didn't expect to see her in a movie like this one..She was pretty good actually as the teenager who wants to make revolution. It was unexpectidly funny even at points where the drama took part there was this one line that could instantly make you smile.Whoever hasn't seen it and is looking for a great film, believe me it's sooooooooo worth it!!No wonder why it was the winner of the best dramatic movie at goldn globe awards.

George Clooney-Matt King
Shailene Woodley-Alexandra King

Stars: Johnny Depp,Christina Ricci,Miranda Richardson

Plot:
Ichabod Crane is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of 3 people with the culprit being the legendary apparition, the Headless Horseman.

Personal Review:
I wanted to watch this movie for such a long time and finally I managed to!!First of all I'm a Depp fan so I like almost all of the movies he has played.Thiss one was really good...First of all it has the aspect of Tim Burton who knows how to make every scene look gloomy and dark. It's this element of him that reminds me of medieval times. So,it was a scary movie, not like a thriller. It was more like a mystery that kept you to the edge until the very end.Definitely recommended to those who haven't watched it and I'd definitely watch it again..

Cast:

Johnny Depp-Iachabod Crane
Christina Richi-Katrina Van  Tassel
