The Help

"The Help" is a dramatic movie.

Director: Tate Taylor
Writers: Tate Taylor(screenplay),Kathryn Stockett(novel)
Stars: Emma Stone,Viola Davis,Octavia Spencer

Plot:
An aspiring author during the civil rights movement of the 1960s decides to write a book detailing the African-American maid's point of view on the white families for which they work, and the hardships they go through on a daily basis.

Personal Review:
An unexpectedly great film. When I first saw the trailer I thought it would be just a common film but it was very interesting. It was also funny at some points regardless being called a "dramatic" film. It's the true stories of how maids were treated in America on the 1960s.It makes you hate people for the way they treat the others and it leaves you a bittersweet feeling in the end.It helps you understand that no matter what your colour is you have feelings, needs and thoughts just like anyone else.Plus,Octavia Spencer won both a golden globe and an Oscar for her role in "The Help" and I think she was totally worth it!
